Memorial Day Mass At St. Barnabas Moved Inside
Predicted inclement weather means the annual St. Barnabas Memorial Day mass will be moved inside the church.
CHICAGO - The annual Memorial Day Mass at St. Barnabas, a yearly tradition held the day before the Ridge Run and Longwood Drive Memorial Day Parade in Beverly/Morgan Park, will be moved indoors this year.
Traditionally the mass is held on St. Barnabas' parish center grounds, but this year it will begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 16 inside St. Barnabas Church at 101st and Longwood, 19th Wad Ald. Matt O'Shea said in an email to ward residents.
Predicted inclement weather in the area at that time was cited as the reason for the change.
