More Unlocked Cars Burglarized, Stolen In Beverly

Thieves have stolen from unlocked cars in the Beverly neighborhood in seven incidents since last week.

CHICAGO - Police in the 22nd District are once again reminding residents to lock their cars and to never leave the keys inside the cars overnight. This comes after seven incidents of theft from vehicles and motor vehicle thefts that occurred in the Beverly neighborhood from between Oct. 29 and Nov. 5.

The thieves have struck the neighborhood in the early morning hours, when police say they pull on door handles and when they find an unlocked car enter it and steal property.

In four of the incidents, the vehicles had car keys inside of them, which led to the stealing of the car.
