Morgan Park Man Shot While Standing In Front of Living Room Window

The man was taken to Advocate Christ in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the arm. It's not known if he was the intended target.

CHICAGO — A 57-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot standing in front of a window Monday evening in Morgan Park.

Around 8:20 p.m. Chicago police said the man was standing in the living room of his home in the 11400 block of South Elizabeth Street when shots were fired. The rounds pieced the front window, hitting the man in the left arm.

The man was taken by the Chicago Fire Department to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition. No one is in custody and CPD Area Two detectives are investigating. It’s not known if the man was the intended target of the shooting.
