Morgan Park, Mt. Greenwood Businesses Alerted To String of Robberies

The three commercial robberies are believed to be related, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO — Chicago police are alerting businesses in the Morgan Park and Mount Greenwood neighborhoods of a string of commercial robberies. The robberies are believed to be related.

Police said the two suspects entered stores during the early afternoon and demand cash from the registers. The robberies happened at the following times and locations:

  • 3800 block of West 115th St., 2 p.m. May 2
  • 3100 block of West 103rd St., 1 p.m. May 4
  • 3200 block of West 111th St., 2 p.m. May 4

The first suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s, with a tall, thin build, and s blue teardrop tattoo near his right eye. The second suspect is also described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s, 6 feet tall and approximately 150 pounds.
