Mt. Greenwood Ice Skating Rink Open New Year's Weekend
Time to do some figure eights and play rat hockey.

After a mild, slushy start to the winter season, the outdoor skating rink at Mount Greenwood Park is finally open. While a permanent schedule is still being finalized, the rink will be operating during the following hours New Year’s weekend:
- Thursday, Dec. 31 - noon to 8 p.m.
- Friday, Jan. 1 - 1 to 9 p.m.
- Saturday, Jan. 2 - 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Sunday, Jan. 3 - 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Skating is free for children under 18 and $6 for 18-plus. Skate rental is also available for $6. For more information about the schedule moving forward, please check the Chicago Park District website next week.
