Mt. Greenwood Man, 28, Killed In I-294 Wreck

WORTH, IL - A motorist who was killed Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 294 in Worth has been identified as a 28-year-old man from Mt. Greenwood. David Mahay, who lived in the 10500 block of South Central Park Avenue, was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center at 8:06 a.m., according to a Chicago Tribune report.

Mahay was found in the wrecked car at 6:40 a.m. with serious injuries. An initial investigation indicates the car Mahay was driving "struck a concrete barrier" and crashed.

The incident occurred just south of the interstate exit near Chicago Ridge Mall, according to reports.
