No Arrests Made During South Side Irish Parade
Parade organizers say there were no arrests or incidents reported along the parade route this year.

CHICAGO, IL - South Side Irish Parade organizers say that not only were there no arrests made on the parade route this year, but that no incidents were reported to police either. This marks the seventh consecutive parade in which no arrests were reported.
"We've had no arrests since the parade came back and we're proud of that," 2018 Parade Committee Chair Ed Haggerty told Patch before this year's parade. Haggerty was referring to the new version of the South Side Irish Parade that's strictly enforced a no alcohol on the parade route edict.
Zero tolerance when it comes to alcohol began enforcement for this parade in the 2012 version, which was the first official South Side Irish Parade that occurred since the event was canceled for two years after the 2009 version.
