No DUI Arrests Made During 22nd District Crackdown
Chicago police issued 53 citations during the DUI crackdown Friday night, including 12 for speeding and 11 for insurance violations.

CHICAGO, IL - The DUI crackdown in the 22nd District last weekend didn't produce any DUI arrests, but several other citations were handed out by Chicago police.
Police officers saturated the district between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. on Friday night and early Saturday morning with breath alcohol testing units to speed up the process of charging a drunk driver with a DUI.
Results of the crackdown were announced on Wednesday.

There were no DUIs, but 12 were cited for speeding, four for driver's licence violations, 15 for unsafe vehicle violations, 11 for insurance violations and 11 for other traffic violations.
In all, police issued 53 citations during the eight-hour period. One vehicle was towed. No arrests were made.
