Oktoberfest, Rocktoberfest Coming To Beverly

Get in the fall spirit at two back-to-back events at St. John Fisher Parish and St. Christina School.

BEVERLY-MORGAN PARK, IL — Beverly and Mt. Greenwood are ringing in the fall with two rhyming “fun-raisers”: an Oktoberfest celebration at St. John Fisher Parish, and a “Rocktoberfest” the next day at St. Christina School.

Oktoberfest is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 15 from 6 to 11 p.m. at St. Christina School at 10235 S. Fairfield Avenue in West Beverly. The celebration is sponsored by the Original Pancake House and will feature beer, live music from the Ron Burgandy Band, food from Whittingham Meats and other locations, a costume contest, and games. Tickets cost $30 or $50 for a couple and are available at www.sjfschool.net/oktoberfest. Food and drink tickets will be available for separate purchase.

Rocktoberfest is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 16 at St. Christina School at 3333 W. 110th St. It will feature music from folk and bluegrass duo Coyote Riot, and raffle baskets, food, and drink. Guests must be 21 or older. A $50 bracelet will include beer wine, while a $25 bracelet will include water and pop.
