Pat's Pantry Hosts Drive-Thru Holiday Food Drive
Pat's Pantry, honoring the legacy of Pat Turney, will hold a contactless, drive-up food drive Dec. 16 at Mt. Greenwood Community Church.
CHICAGO — The 19th Ward, Sen. Bill Cunningham and Rep. Fran Hurley are teaming up with the Mount Greenwood Community and Business Association will co-host a no-contact holiday food drive benefitting Pat's Pantry at the Mount Greenwood Community Church. The pantry will be collecting non-perishable food and toiletry items from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 16.
Pat’s Pantry is a food pantry operated in collaboration with Mount Greenwood Community Church in memory of Patrick Turney, a 23-year-old resident of the community who died unexpectedly in 2019. Food pick-up is available every Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. For more information or to volunteer, contact Kathleen Cavallone Turney at patspantrymtgcc@gmail.com.
Monetary donations are also accepted. Checks should be made payable to Pat’s Pantry.
