Police Superintendent Orders CPD Officers To Guard Military Recruiting Centers

Chicago police officers stationed at city's recruiting sites "until further notice" after attacks on Tennessee military centers.

Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy ordered CPD officers stationed at all military recruiting city. The order comes after Thursday’s attacks on two military centers in Chattanooga, TN, that left the 24-year-old gunman and four U.S. Marines dead.

Authorities say Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez opened fire at a military recruitment center before driving seven miles to another military site where he sprayed the windows with gunfire, killing the four Marines.

The FBI is investigating the possibility that the shootings were an act of a domestic terrorism, according to news reports.
