Pop In To Misericordia Hearts And Flour Pop Up At Beverly Arts Center
Add something special to your holiday table at Misericordia's Christmas Pop-Up store Nov. 17 and Nov. 18 at the Beverly Arts Center.

CHICAGO — The bakers at Misericordia’s Hearts and Flour Bakery have been busy baking treats for their Christmas Pop Up Shop just in time for the holidays at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago.
The pop-up shop will be open for business from noon to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. Ample parking is available in the BAC lot.
More than 80 Misericordia residents work at the bakery. They have prepared favorites including heart-shaped brownies, Irish soda bread, a variety of cookies and flavored breads, peppermint bark, fudge, spiced pecans, pretzel trees, toffee, caramel corn crunch and pot o’ gold crunch for the pop-up sale.

“Misericordia is a vital part of the 19th Ward community,” said Ald. Matt O’Shea, whose 19th Ward office is sponsoring the event. “The support they provide our residents is invaluable, so we are thrilled any time we can return that support. Plus, their baked goods are not to be missed.”
The Misericordia Hearts & Flour Bakery and Café provides employment opportunities for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their treats have become a holiday staple for many South Side-area households as a treasured gift or part of a holiday feast. For more information about this two-day sale, call 773-238-8766.
