Public Safety Seminar Features Panel of Convicted Burglars
Panel of convicted burglars discuss how they pick targets in public safety seminar, Thursday March 9, at the Beverly Arts Center.

CHICAGO, IL -- 19th Ward residents are invited to a public safety seminar Thursday, March 9, hosted by the Beverly Area Planning Association, Mount Greenwood Community and Business Association, and Ald. Matt O’Shea.
Featured is a panel of convicted burglars explaining how they selected targets. They will also take questions from the audience. The seminar starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St.
A 9-1-1 call taker will also explain how calls are dispatched and offer audience members suggestions on how to get the best response.

“Often times, when a crime is committed in our community, neighbors report suspicious behavior after the fact. If residents can be educated about calling 9-1-1 to report this behavior immediately, it will make a huge difference,” O’Shea said in an email to constituents.
