'Rainbow Connection' Beers Introduced At Western Avenue Breweries

Four beers that make up the flavors of the Rainbow Cone are now available at Horse Thief Hollow and Open Outcry Brewing.

CHICAGO, IL - There was a certain buzz along Western Avenue Tuesday night. Hundreds of people came out on a beautiful evening to celebrate a collaboration between three of the neighborhood's most beloved locales.

The "Rainbow Connection," a flight of beers inspired by the flavors of the iconic Rainbow Cone ice cream, was debuted at both Horse Thief Hollow and Open Outcry breweries. The two Western Avenue businesses teamed for a collaboration that resulted in the brewing of four separate beers that when served as a flight make up the flavors of the Rainbow Cone.

"It's delicious," said one beer lover at Horse Thief.

The four beers that make up the flight are a "Palmer House IPA," "Strawberry Imperial Stout," "Orange Milkshake IPA" and "Pistachio Brown Ale."

The man outside Horse Thief said he liked the Pistachio the best. Others said they were equally as delightful.
The beer flight will only be available for a limited time.
