Re;ACT Hosts 10th Anniversary Bears Watch Party Sunday At 115 Bourbon Street

CHICAGO—Open the Chicago Bears season with Re;ACT this Sunday, Sept. 13. The Bears watch party will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St., Merrionette Park.

Re;ACT (Ryan Elwood Awareness, Counseling and Training Foundation for First Responders) will celebrate ten years of impact supporting counseling services for first responders. Organizations supported by Re;ACT include Illinois Firefighter Peer Support, Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance and supports select fire department training budgets.

The organization also provides scholarships to send young firefighters to the Illinois Fire Service Institute for training at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The foundation honors the memory of CFD Firefighter Ryan Elwood, who took his life in 2015.

The watch party features food, beer, wine, split-the-pot and a liquor draw. Face painting and exploring the Lt. Ryan Elwood Memorial Firetruck for the youngsters. Donations are welcome.
