Renovations Complete At Mount Carmel: Photo Gallery

All classrooms at Mount Carmel High School's main building have been renovated.

CHICAGO — Classroom renovations in the main building at Mount Carmel High School are now complete. Work had been going on for the last four years to renovate all classrooms in the building before 1924, according to a news release from the school. The school dedicated the completion of the last five classrooms last week.

All of the classrooms are state of the art and designed to engage the male learner, Mount Carmel President Ned Hughes said. Scroll through the images atop the article to see some of the new features

“The focus is on engaging the male brain," Hughes said. "These classroom improvements enable us to help each student be the very best they can be.”

Mount Carmel Principal Scott Tabernacki said the renovations “ensure current and future members of the Caravan will continue to experience what makes Mount Carmel the premiere all male catholic school.”

The renovations were paid for in most part by Mount Carmel alumni, the school said.
