CHICAGO, IL - A robber made off with an unknown amount of money from the Walgreen's near 111th and Kedzie in Mount Greenwood Wednesday night after police said approached the cashier and "announced a robbery" around 8:40 p.m.

The robber is a white man, 35-40 years old, 5'7-5'8, 230 lbs. with partly grey hair, according to police.

Reports from scanner traffic shared by the Mt. Greenwood Watch and Mount Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Facebook pages Wednesday night have not been confirmed. The two differing accounts both referred to the incident as a "strong arm robbery" when it was initially reported.
