The likelihood of being born on ‪‎Leap Day is one in 1,461. In a world of more than 7 billion people, it is estimated that only about 5 million, or around .07 percent of the total population, can stake a claim to a February 29 birthday.

Advocate Christ’s state-of-the-art birthing center located in the new 8-story, in-patient “East Tower” offers private labor and delivery suites, high-risk rooms, C-section suites designed for multiple births, and post-delivery suites.

The last Leap Day, in 2012, 11 babies were delivered at the Oak Lawn medical center.

The birthing center kindly sent over some pics of Baby Penelope Henry, born to proud parents Jill and David. Christina Hernando’s bundle of Joy, Baby Lorelei, was named after the “Lorelei” song by Styx.

Welcome to the world, kids.
