‘Chicago Fire’ Filming Season 7 On South Side
Parking restrictions and street closures will be in effect some streets through Aug. 24, including a simulated fire scene for Chicago Fire.

CHICAGO, IL -- Attention ‘Chicago Fire’ addicts: your favorite NBC show is currently filming season 7 on the city’s South Side. Filming will take place through Aug. 24. Also on Aug. 21, there will be simulated fire so don’t freak out. If you want to watch the magic of television unfold in your own neighborhood, the following parking restrictions and street closures will will give Chicago Fire fans some indication of where to catch TV crews:
From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 16 to Aug. 24, the following parking restrictions and tow zones are in place:
- South side of 48th Street from Honore to Wolcott;
- West side of Honore from 48th Street to a half-block south
From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 20 to Aug. 2, these parking restrictions and tow zones will be in place:

- Both sides of South Honore from the 4700 block to 4800 block;
- Both sides of 48th Street from South Hermitage to the 1900 block of 48th Street;
- Both sides of Wolcott from the 4700 block to 48th Street.
There will be a full street closure from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. for a simulated fire scene:
- 48th Street from Wolcott to Wood;
- Honore from 47th Street to 48th Street;
- Alley between Honore, 48th Street, 49th Street and Wolcott
Film crews will not block driveways, loading zones, fire hydrants, bus stops or handicap zones. Season 7 of Chicago Fire will air starting Sept. 26. If you have questions, call the Chicago Film Office at 312-744-6415.
