Senior Tech Thursdays Offers Tips For Using Smartphones, Tablets

Mercy Circle will host a free 3-week series for tech-shy seniors on using their digital devices starting June 1.

CHICAGO — On Thursday, June 8, starting at 1:30 p.m. at Mercy Circle Senior Tech Thursdays instructors will demonstrate how to use FaceTime, WhatsApp and Zoom, as well as how to set-up email and text groups to stay in touch with friends and family. This free, 3-week series is designed for tech-shy older residents also discover ways to take, save and share photos and videos.

Participants, who use Apple and Android devices, will meet in separate rooms to make it easier to use more features on their smartphones and tablets.

Classes are held at Mercy Circle, 3659 W. 99th St. in Chicago, June 1, June 8 and June 15. Participants should use the entrance to Mercy Circle’s campus on the west side of Central Park Ave. at 100th Street and follow the signs to free valet parking and the entrance to the meeting rooms.
