South Side Irish Parade 2018: Pols, Parishes and Pipes

CHICAGO, IL -- It was a great day for the South Side Irish as thousands gathered along Western Avenue to cheer on their favorite parishes, schools, organizations and sports teams. The afternoon was sunny and breezy, but at least it wasn't a steady drizzle like past South Side Irish Parades. This was the fortieth year that the Wee Folk of Washtenaw and Talman stepped off to celebrate Beverly, Mt. Greenwood and Morgan Park's Irish roots, with nearby suburbs joining in.
