South Side Irish Parade Queen Named
Maggie Clifford of Mount Greenwood is the 2019 South Side Irish Parade Queen.

CHICAGO - A registered nurse from Mount Greenwood who went to Queen of Martyrs and Mother McAuley is this year's South Side Irish Parade Queen. The selection of Maggie Clifford was announced at the South Side Irish Parade Pre-Parade fundraiser last weekend at 115 Bourbon Street.
“It is a dream come true to be chosen as the South Side Irish Parade Queen,” Clifford said. “St. Patrick’s Day is my favorite time of the year and I am honored to represent the South Side Irish Parade community and tradition.”
Clifford, one of 15 queen candidates, will be prominently featured in the South Side Irish Parade that steps off from 103rd and Western at noon on Sunday, March 17. The Northwestern Memorial Hospital nurse will also ride in the downtown parade and compete in the 2019 Chicago Rose of Tralee Selection as the South Side Irish Rose.
