Southland Prep Football First Round Playoff Matchups

Several South Side and south suburban prep football teams have made the IHSA playoffs. Here are the first round match-ups this weekend.

CHICAGO, IL - The IHSA State Football Playoffs start this weekend and a number of teams from Chicago's South Side and south suburbs have high expectations heading into the single loss elimination tournament that includes eight bracket classes in Illinois. On the Southland, both Lincoln-Way East and Marist enter the playoffs with perfect 9-0 records. Homewood-Flossmoor, Lincoln-Way Central, Shepard, Crete-Monee and Lemont are all 8-1.
