CHICAGO (BEVERLY) — St. Barnabas Catholic School at 101st and Longwood in Beverly is closed Tuesday, one day after reports state more than a quarter of the school's students were sent home sick. School officials said in an email to parents that nearly 150 students were sent home with influenza A/B, strep and stomach flu, according to a Chicago Sun-Times report.

Instead, the day has been dubbed an "E-learning" day. Because of the "E-learning day," the day will not have to be made up at the end of the year.
