St. Cajetan And Smith Village Cupids Make 'Valentines For Vets'
St. Cajetan students joined Smith Village residents in brightening Valentine's Day for 45 vets from Rush Hospital's "Road Home" program.

CHICAGO, IL — More than two dozen Smith Village residents and St. Cajetan student council members gathered on Valentine’s Day to make gifts for 45 veterans.
All who received these gifts are veterans with invisible wounds, who benefit from a
variety of inpatient and outpatient healthcare programs provided by the Road Home
Program at Rush University Medical Center.
Students and seniors worked side-by-side to demonstrate their encouragement and
care for the veterans by folding origami hearts and cranes, symbolizing hope and healing,
and placing them in glass bowls which they had painted.
