Support Group Offered For Caregivers of Alzheimer's Patients

Smith Village will host the support group on Jan. 8.

BEVERLY, IL -- Caregivers of those with Alzheimer's disease may want to check out a support group being offered next month. Smith Village, a not-for-profit organization that serves older adults, will host an hour-long gathering for caregivers of older adults with Alzheimer's Disease. The group meets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Smith Village, 2320 W. 113th Place, according to a news release.

Family members and friends of those with Alzheimger's can address issues such as sun-downing, wandering, memory loss and sleeping too little or too much, according to the news release. The event is free.

Diane Morgan, social service director of long-term care at the life plan retirement community, will lead the discussion and answer questions participants have.
