Suspected Bike Thief Nabbed By Cops In Beverly

CHICAGO, IL - Chicago police chased down a suspected bike thief in the Beverly neighborhood Thursday night. A 20-year-old man from Englewood was charged with misdemeanor theft after he was apprehended near 105th and Wood, according to police.

Neighbors in the 10700 block of South Hoyne Avenue saw the man taking a bicycle from a yard on the block at 6:04 p.m., according to 22nd District police. Officers quickly arrested him a few blocks away at 6:23 p.m., the Chicago Police Department's Office of News Affairs said.
