Train For Ridge Run With Treadfit's 3 Mile Challenge

Treadfit will provide a race-like atmosphere with instructors guiding runners to finish three miles on a treadmill on Saturday, May 19.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago's oldest 10K race is the Ridge Run, which has also become one of the most popular events of the year in the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood and in recent years has added a 5K option for runners and walkers. Whether you are planning to trot 6.2 or 3.1 miles on Memorial Day morning this year, a neighborhood fitness center is offering a fun way to train for the big race.

A 3 Mile Challenge is planned at Treadfit Beverly, 10458 S. Western Ave.at 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 19. Participants will complete three miles on the treadmills in assigned waves based on their easy pace. Instructors will be there to cheer them on and coach them to the finish.

The training comes with benefits often only found during actual races, like a Dri-FIT Treadfit Beverly T-shirt and three raffle tickets for amazing giveaways from Marlo Salon, You Glow Girl, Running Excels, Beverly Yoga, CGT Aesthetics, Impact Physical Therapy, Bush Family Eye Care, Ronald McDonald House, BAPA, and Roden and Fields.
