Unlocked Garages Targeted In North Beverly Burglaries

CHICAGO (BEVERLY) — Chicago police in the 22nd District are reporting a series of garage burglaries that have occurred in the North Beverly neighborhood. Four instances of similar crimes have been reported by residents of the neighborhood north of 95th Street.

Two reports, one on Dec. 16 and the other on Dec. 30, occurred in the 9200 block of South Winchester Avenue. A third was reported in the 9000 block of South Damen Avenue on Jan. 1 and a fourth in the 8900 block of South Hoyne Avenue on Jan. 2.

All occurred between midnight and 6 a.m.

Bicycles and lawn equipment were among the items stolen.
