CHICAGO, IL - Chicago baseball fans on the South Side braved the cold, and at certain times snow, to support the White Sox in their home opener Friday at U.S. Cellular Field.
While the team from the North Side is getting all the press, South Siders have a certain buzz about this baseball season as well. The White Sox are off to a 3-1 start, the best mark they've had through four games of the season since 2005.
And some fans may remember what happened that year.
But things didn't go well for the home team on the field. The Indians jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and went on to spoil the home opener for the 'Good Guys,' 7-1.
But neither the end result nor the weather could dampen the moods of White Sox faithful at the game Friday. They are just happy baseball season is back.
