Woman Found Dead In Garbage Can At 108th And Prospect
Chicago police have begun an investigation into the death of a woman who was found inside a garbage can.
CHICAGO - A woman was found dead in a garbage can in the city's Morgan Park neighborhood on Christmas Eve. A Chicago police spokesman said the body of the woman, 67, was found by Streets and Sanitation workers who were unloading a garbage can into their truck in the 10800 block of South Prospect Avenue around 1:50 p.m. on Monday, the Chicago Tribune reports.
A death investigation is underway, police have said. The case is considered a homicide.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office did not immediately have the victim identified.
