Woman Killed In Morgan Park After Another Rams Her Into Tree With SUV: Cops

Charges pending against a woman who allegedly used SUV to push an 18-year-old woman against tree and repeatedly strike her, cops said.

CHICAGO, IL -- Charges are pending against a 24-year-old woman who is accused of using her Jeep Cherokee to pin a younger woman against a tree and kill her. The incident began with a verbal altercation between the driver and younger woman late Friday evening in Morgan Park.

According to preliminary information, 24-year-old woman was engaged in a heated argument with an 18-year-old woman around 11:10 p.m. in the 11400 block of South May Street. The older woman got behind the wheel of her Jeep Cherokee where she is said to have chased the younger woman on the sidewalk. Police said she pushed the younger woman against a tree and continued to strike her multiple times.

The older woman fled the area and was later apprehended by police. The younger woman was found dead at the scene. The Chicago Tribune reported that Jeep Cherokee was found with pieces of wood in the front bumper. A young child was also in the back seat of the vehicle.
