1 Injured After Report Of Shooting In Bolingbrook On Monday: Police

Police said officers detained two people, and recovered two handguns at the scene.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — One person was injured after a report of a shooting on Monday in Bolingbrook, according to a news release from Bolingbrook Police.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Kingsbrook for a report of a shooting at 2:02 p.m. Monday, police said. When they arrived, officers found one adult who had suffered a non-life threatening injury. The person was taken to an area hospital.

Police said officers detained two people, and recovered two handguns at the scene. Police had asked the public to avoid the area as officers investigated.

According to police, initial investigation indicated that the incident was an "isolated event" and that there was no threat to the public.
