2 Bolingbrook Educators Win Regional Awards

The awards ​recognize outstanding school leaders who succeed at providing high-quality learning opportunities to students.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Two Bolingbrook educators won regional awards from the Illinois Principals Association, Valley View School District 365U officials said Tuesday.

Bolingbrook High School Principal Jason Pascavage and Brooks Middle School Assistant Principal Patrick Meginniss were the recipients of the Three Rivers Region High School Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year awards, respectively.

The recent honor marks Pascavage's third time winning the award since assuming the top Bolingbrook High School role nine years ago, officials said.

Meginniss is also the recipient of the organization's Reaching Out and Building Bridges Award, designed to recognize educators or groups displaying an "outstanding effort in creating partnerships between schools, principals, associations, and organizations for the betterment of all."

The Illinois Principals Association awards recognize outstanding school leaders who succeed at providing high-quality learning opportunities to students, according to a news release. By winning regionally, Pascavage and Meginniss are both eligible for similar awards at the state level.
