2 Jailed By Bolingbrook Police Over Weekend

Both inmates have stayed at the Will County Jail before, jail logs show.

There were more than two dozen people arrested over the weekend here in Will County, and the Bolingbrook Police Department was responsible for making some of those arrests. Jail logs from Will County reflect that Bolingbrook officers transported at least two people to Joliet's lockup for unrelated crimes, Bismark Opare and Shannon Knoverek.

BISMARK OPARE, 25, 400 block of Butterfly Road, Bolingbrook, was arrested by BPD late Saturday night, July 7, being booked into the county jail at 11:52 p.m. Opare has been charged with the felony crime of aggravated battery and he will go before a judge for his bail hearing on Monday.

SHANNON KNOVEREK, 32, 200 block of Hywood Lane, Bolingbrook, was arrested by BPD early Sunday morning, July 8, being booked into the county jail at 2:58 a.m. Knoverek has been charged with aggravated battery against someone who is more than 60 years old, two counts of domestic battery and one charge of driving on a suspended license. Court records indicate that she has a $100,000 bail.
