2 People Shot Early Tuesday In Bolingbrook: Police
One man was shot in the foot, and another man had a gunshot wound to the shin, according to police.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Two people were shot early Tuesday in Bolingbrook while out for a walk, according to Bolingbrook police. One man was shot in the foot, while another had a gunshot wound to his shin, police said.
Officers were called to a local hospital at 5:48 a.m. Tuesday, and spoke to a man who told police that he was walking alone near Hadleigh Road when someone in a vehicle drove up and fired a gun at him, striking his foot, police said.
The man "was vague and would not provide specific information," police said. While officers were at the hospital, a second gunshot victim, who was shot in the shin, arrived.

The second man told police he went for a walk with the first man at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said. The man did not provide a reason for the walk, and told police that while they were walking, a dark vehicle approached and shots were fired from the vehicle.
The incident is currently under investigation.
