2 Stole Walmart Swimming Pool: Complaint

The two defendants are currently free on a $15,000 personal recognizance bond.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - On any given day, someone is probably shoplifting merchandise from one of the many local Walmart stores across Will County. On some days, people take clothes. Other times, it's medicine, electronics, food or beverages. Now, a pair of women from Romeoville find themselves accused of committing an unusual retail theft. Last week, the Will County State's Attorney's Office charged Annette Dejohnette, 46, and Briana Dingillo, 22, with stealing a frame swimming pool from the Bolingbrook Walmart store in the 200 block of South Bolingbrook Drive.

The crime is alleged to have occurred last summer, on June 15, 2017. The complaint states that Dejohnette and Dingillo "knowingly took possession of ... a frame pool, the full retail value of which exceeds $300, with the intention of depriving the merchant permanently of the possession, use or benefit of such merchandise without paying the full retail value ..."

A second felony theft charge states that Dejohnette was convicted of theft in 2015 in Cook County.
