20-Year-Old Dead After Gunshot Wound, Several Shell Casings Found: Cops

Evidence Technicians and Detectives responded to the scene and several shell casings have been recovered, police said.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A man was found unresponsive on Saturday night after a report of a gunshot wound, and later died at the hospital, according to a news release from Bolingbrook Police. Police said they responded to Rebecca Lane at 11:42 p.m. Saturday.

The man, identified as Sian Carter 20, of Bolingbrook, was found unresponsive in the backyard of a home, police said. Officers began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. Carter was taken to the hospital for further treatment, and was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy performed Sunday revealed he had suffered a gunshot wound, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.
