The National Association of Realtors has published total sales for 2013. 5.09 million homes were sold in the US during the last year, and the median sales price was up from $176,800 in 2012 to $197,100.
Distressed sales were 14% of total sales down from 24% for December 2012. 4% of distressed sales were short sales.
The average foreclosure sale discount was 18% below market vs 13% below for short sales.
