2027 nature calendar sales benefit Forest Preserve District of Will County
Proceeds go to The Nature Foundation of Will County, which funds Forest Preserve priorities

The new year is fast approaching, so don't miss your opportunity to purchase a 2027 calendar full of beautiful nature photos taken in the Will County forest preserves to keep yourself organized and on time throughout the year.
Calendars cost $15 each, with a $5 discount for every calendar after the first one (limit of five for discount within the same order). Free shipping is included in the cost. They are being sold through pre-orders only, and orders can be placed online through Sunday, Nov. 15. Forest Preserve staff will mail out the calendars the first week of December so they are received in time for the holidays and the start of the new year. Hint: They make great Christmas gifts as well!

The calendar tells the story of Will County throughout the seasons, showcasing wildlife and scenic landscapes in colorful photos that jump off the page. The photos featured in the calendar were selected from entries in the 2026 Preserve the Moment photo contest, which continues through the end of the year.
The calendar also includes nature tidbits about what you can see in the preserves during each month as well as save the dates for the Forest Preserve's major events in 2027. And with the Forest Preserve District marking its centennial in 2027, it also includes information about how the milestone will be celebrated.

All proceeds from calendar sales go to The Nature Foundation of Will County, the nonprofit philanthropic partner of the Forest Preserve District of Will County. The Nature Foundation raises money to support Forest Preserve initiatives that protect nature, inspire discovery and bring people and nature together.
Offering the calendar is another way the Foundation can connect people to nature, said Tara Neff, executive director of The Nature Foundation.
"What better way to do that than showcasing all the preserve moments visitors shared with us?," Neff said.
To date in 2026, The Nature Foundation has secured $268,745 for Forest Preserve District conservation, education and recreation priorities.
"Our additional support helps accelerate and celebrate the work of the Forest Preserve District to give folks more of what they love about the preserves," she said.
