29 Heroin Bags In Shorewood Man's Car: Bolingbrook Police

Bolingbrook Police pulled over the unlicensed driver Monday night.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A 33-year-old Shorewood man who had a revoked driver's license was arrested 20 miles away in Bolingbrook shortly before midnight Monday after police say they found more than two dozen baggies of heroin inside his car. As a result of his traffic stop, Christopher Deignan now faces charges of unlawful possession of controlled substances and having drug paraphernalia. He also faces charges of driving with a revoked license, failing to signal and operating an uninsured auto.

Bolingbrook Police say they pulled Deignan over around 11:40 p.m. Monday because he failed to use his turn signal at Route 53 and Remington Boulevard. After the traffic stop, officers determined his driving privileges were revoked, police said. "Upon searching the vehicle officers located 29 small baggies of heroin and a hypodermic syringe," Bolingbrook police said.

Deignan was put in handcuffs and taken to the Will County Jail in downtown Joliet. On Tuesday, a judge set his bail at $30,000, 10 percent.
