$3 Million Bail Set For Plainfield Man Charged In Bolingbrook
Will County Judge Art Smigielski set the high bail for the defendant charged with armed violence.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - Will County Associate Judge Art Smigielski set a $3 million bail last week for a 21-year-old man arrested by the Bolingbrook Police Department on several felony charges including armed violence and possessing the illegal drug ecstasy. The criminal complaint against Jatori Walton was filed Oct. 15.
The most serious charge, armed violence, carries a mandatory minimum of 15 years of prison time for the Plainfield man who lives in the 14100 block of South Napa Circle.
On Oct. 14, Walton, the complaint states, was "armed with a dangerous weapon, a black FNS-9C 9 mm semi-automatic pistol," while also having ecstasy in his possession while in Bolingbrook.

His second charge, unlawful use of a weapon, states that Walton is a previously convicted felon who got convicted in 2016 in Will County of possessing a stolen gun.
His third charge, unlawful use of a weapon, indicates that the convicted felon had "a magazine containing twelve 9 mm rounds, said violation being a second or subsequent violation."

His fourth charge, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, states that Walton "unlawfully possessed with intent to deliver more than 30 grams but not more than 500 grams of any substance containing cannabis."
His fifth felony charge, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, states that Walton had a substance containing MDMA, which is commonly known as ecstasy, a psychoactive recreational drug.
A sixth felony offense, unlawful possession of marijuana, states that Walton unlawfully possessed more than 100 grams but not more than 500 grams of any substance containing cannabis.
