Stolen TV Ring Has Ties To Joliet's Sharks Fish Parking Lot

The pair of Chicago men are accused of trying to sell stolen Samsung TVs on Joliet's South Chicago Street.

Two men from Chicago, 28-year-old Deshun Anderson and 30-year-old Lamar Burkhalter, are accused of being partners in crime during a recent cargo heist in Bolingbrook over Thanksgiving weekend. Anderson, who lives in the 6300 block of South Saint Lawrence Avenue, is charged with money laundering, a Class 3 felony, as well as theft, a Class A misdemeanor. His codefendant, Burkhalter, lives in the 7800 block of South Shore Drive, and Burkhalter faces identical criminal charges as Anderson.

Both men were taken into custody by Bolingbrook police officers on December 1, a week ago Friday.

According to their criminal complaint, Burkhalter and Anderson "offered a Samsung television for sale at 410 South Chicago Street, Joliet, Will County, Illinois, which had been stolen from Neovia Logistics in Bolingbrook, Will County, Illinois, on November 25, 2017." The location where the stolen merchandise was being sold is part of a commercial strip mall just down the street from the Will County Jail. The address in the criminal complaint comes back to the Starks Fish & Chicken.
