70-Year-Old Woman's Death Investigated In Bolingbrook

The woman, Charlene McKinniss, was pronounced dead at 2:45 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Kildeer, the coroner's office said.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A death investigation is underway in Bolingbrook after the death of a 70-year-old woman on Monday, according to Bolingbrook Police.

The woman, Charlene McKinniss, was pronounced dead at 2:45 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Kildeer, the coroner's office said.

Police said they responded Monday to assist with a woman who was possibly not breathing. The caller was a home health nurse, who was attending the patient. Police said paramedics were unable to detect any signs of life, and the Will County Coroner’s Office was notified.

According to police, this remains an ongoing investigation. Patch asked police why the death was being investigated, and they responded that the department responds to all reported deaths as a matter of policy.

"This death investigation is in the preliminary stages as we await the results of the autopsy report from the Will County Coroner's Office," police said.
