Addams Repeats As Valley View Math Champion

BOLINGBROOK, IL -- Jane Addams Middle School is the 2016 Valley View School District 365U Middle School Mathematics Contest champion.

The Mustangs earned the coveted Pythagoras Trophy with a solid overall performance in all categories Thursday evening.

Addams team members are: 6th grade: Adiba Asad, Hans Manganti, Aiden Rybialek, Ronik Singh and Connor Tynan (alternate: Rachel Stowers); 7th grade: Muyiwa Arowolo, Aaron Preimesberger, Andrew Stone, Brett Wasick and Connor Wasick (alternates: Robert Mosher and Armaan Suga); 8th grade: Danielle Edwards, Tess Eken, Tinu Owolabi, Kelli Medina and Maddie Spengler (alternates: Jonah Pavey, Ramah Sarfraz and Braeden Suwanski); and Algebra: Faith Scaria, Cristian Melendez, Josh Rybialek, Danny Steenstra and Annabeth Yeung.

Brooks and Jane Addams middle schools tied in the 6th grade group competition. Martinez was second. The 7th grade group champion was Jane Addams. Martinez was second. The 8th grade winner was Brooks. Addams and Lukancic tied for second. And in algebra, the co-champs were Brooks and Jane Addams. Martinez was second.
