ALDI Robbed In Bolingbrook, Suspect Fled: Police
The cashier was unharmed, and no weapon was displayed or implied, police said.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The ALDI in Bolingbrook was robbed on Thursday afternoon, Bolingbrook Police said in a news release. Officers responded to the report of a robbery at 3:37 p.m. at the store, located at 734 E. Boughton Road.
Police said a cashier was checking out a man at the register, and when the cashier opened the register, the man pushed the cashier away and grabbed money from the register. The cashier was unharmed, and no weapon was displayed or implied.
The cashier tried to prevent the man from taking the money, and there was a short struggle, police said. A customer also tried to help stop the man, but was knocked out of the way.

The suspect was described as a black man with glasses, about 6-foot tall, a large build, and wearing a white surgical mask, a red shirt with white lettering, khaki shores, a dark-colored baseball cap and a fanny pack across his body. The man fled in a white Honda Accord without license plates, police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
