Bolingbrook Breaks Ground On New Animal Care Center

The new center on Canterbury Lane will replace an aging building on Royce Road.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Village of Bolingbrook broke ground on its new animal care center on Monday.

The Bolingbrook Animal Care Center at the Public Works Campus, 279 Canterbury Lane, will replace the 40-year-old building on Royce Road, according to the Village.

The new, 3,000-square-foot facility will bring improved services, featuring indoor/outdoor kennels, a feline room and a reunification space.

Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta, Village Trustees, Bolingbrook Police Department Chief of Police Mike Rompa, BPD Animal Control Center Police Officers and many others participated in the groundbreaking, the Village shared.

State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel, State Senator Rachel Ventura and State Representative Dagmara Avelar also participated and shared remarks about the importance and value of this center.

The Village of Bolingbrook said it is grateful for their support in grant funding toward this project.
