Valley View Educational Enrichment Foundation Awarded STEM Education Grant

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Valley View Educational Enrichment Foundation announced it was awarded an American Water Charitable Foundation STEM Education grant.

The grant will ensure that several education programs, designed by Valley View educators and submitted to the foundation, will be delivered for the upcoming school year, the Foundation said. The Foundation received 86 grant applications from educators, totaling $106,600.

This is the second year in which the Foundation received support from the American Water Charitable Foundation for its grant programs, according to a news release.

"The Valley View Educational Enrichment Foundation Board, consisting of community leader volunteers, is extremely grateful for the support from the American Water Charitable Foundation for a second year," said Mike Lawler, Valley View Educational Enrichment Foundation President. "In our first year, we were able to fund many grant applications that were not expected to be funded, due to the volume submitted. With the funds for this coming school year, we can fund nearly all the grant programs requested for 2026-2027, benefiting our students with educational experiences that truly make a difference in their lives."

American Water Charitable Foundation is a nonprofit established by American Water.
