Bolingbrook Man Hit Another Driver, Stole Items During Road Rage Incident: Police

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A man struck another man in the face and removed items from his vehicle during a road rage incident in Bolingbrook on Wednesday, Bolingbrook Police said.

Stephen Priest, 26, of Bolingbrook, has been charged with robbery, aggravated battery, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with no valid license, in connection to the incident.

Bolingbrook Police said they responded to a report of "road rage" at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at Boughton and Weber roads.

Police said Priest got out of his vehicle while stopped in traffic and approached the driver of another vehicle. He entered the other man's vehicle, struck him in the face and stole property from the vehicle, officials allege.

At 9 p.m. Wednesday, police met with Priest, and he was taken into custody without incident.
