BOLINGBROOK, IL — Earlier this month, CG's Comedy Club closed the doors to its location in The Promenade Bolingbrook.
The comedy club, which opened seven years ago, held its last shows on July 31 and Aug. 1. At its Aug. 18 meeting, the Bolingbrook Village Board approved decreasing its number of liquor licenses due to the closure of the business.
On its Facebook page, the business thanked its staff, comedians and guests who attended a show.
"A few opportunities have presented themselves, and we just couldn't pass on them. All good things must come to an end, but we're excited for what's ahead. We are set to rebuild, and come back stronger with something new," the business said.
While it didn't confirm a new location, the business teased future plans.
"It's not goodbye. It's see you down the road. Literally," the business said.
